Dr. Verónica Sánchez Carrera has developed his career as a freelance professional in architecture and urban planning since 2004.
In 2007, she shifted her focus to International Cooperation and Humanitarian Aid. Her extensive experience in emergency infrastructures has enabled her to contribute significantly to various humanitarian crises across different contexts and countries, collaborating with leading humanitarian organizations.
She holds a PhD in Urban Architecture from the Universidad de Alcalá (UAH) and a Master’s in Advanced Architecture and City Design, also from UAH. She is an expert in Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene in International Cooperation, accredited by the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (UPM), and in Human Settlements Development in the Third World (UPM—ICHaB, UNESCO Chair).
She is currently an active member of the World Health Organization, engaging in diverse working groups and developing guidelines for designing and constructing infectious disease treatment centers.
In 2011, she co-founded n’UNDO, an innovative alternative to traditional urban planning. This organization allows her to address urban and environmental concerns through project development, consultancies, and evaluations.
She has been dedicated to imparting knowledge and learning from university students for over twenty years.

She combines her professional activities with teaching and research. He has been learning from students at different universities for more than twenty years.

Verónica Sánchez Carrera es Doctora Arquitecta Urbanista (UAH), máster en Proyecto Avanzado de Arquitectura y Ciudad (UAH); experta en Agua, Saneamiento e Higiene en Cooperación Internacional (UPM) y en Desarrollo de Asentamientos Humanos en el Tercer mundo (UPM – ICHaB, cátedra UNESCO).
Desde 2004 desarrolla su carrera como profesional independiente en arquitectura y urbanismo. En 2007 centró su actividad en la Cooperación Internacional y la Ayuda Humanitaria. Su experiencia en infraestructuras de emergencias le ha llevado a formar parte de la respuesta en distintas crisis humanitarias trabajando en diferentes contextos y países con las principales organizaciones humanitarias.
Actualmente es miembro activo de la Organización Mundial de la Salud donde forma parte de distintos equipos de trabajo y desarrolla las guías de diseño y construcción de centros de enfermedades infecciosas.
En 2011 cofunda la organización n’UNDO y su oficina técnica n’OT|Global-Human-Environment como alternativa al urbanismo tradicional, donde ha volcado sus inquietudes por la ciudad y el entorno. Su práctica incluye la elaboración de proyectos, consultorías y evaluaciones.
Compagina su actividad profesional con la docencia y la investigación. Lleva más de veinte años aprendiendo de alumnos en diferentes universidades.
